As I’m sure I have mentioned, I don’t really like courgettes. I find them bland, a bit mushy, and we had them ALL THE TIME growing up.
Because everything wants to eat you. However if you’re very lucky, sometimes the thing that gets to eat you is me, rather than an insect, squirrel, bird, deer or other.
Turns out they are actually chillis!
This is a very confusing way for me to bring up my ‘Lemon Drop’ chillis.
It’s been warm and sunny over the last week, encouraging seeds to sprout and plants to shoot up. Whilst this does sadly include weeds, it also means some of my new offspring are going great guns.
I am devastated to report that frost snuck into my greenhouse and selectively killed one tomato plant and one sweetcorn plant.
