I’m very confused right now. In trying to establish whether the crisp brand Taytos was Irish or Northern Irish, it seems like there are two crisp brands, each called Tayto, one in each country.
Traybakes, fridge cakes, squares, bars – these are the taste of childhood. Sure you can buy them as an adult, but I used to make and eat them all the time when I was a kid.
If you had to guess what yellowman was from the name, I don’t think you’d hit on the right answer.
I find potato cakes delicious but texturally unsettling. Especially cold.
I used to make soda bread occasionally when I was kid, and it always tasted a bit…soda-y. It was like some of those shop scones that make your teeth squeak.
